While some shelters like North Shore Animal League America practice a no-kill philosophy, many others are just unable to due to lack of resources. In fact, it is estimated that a startling four to five million pets die in shelters each year because there are simply not enough homes.
The Pet Savers Foundation is committed to developing programs that will place more pets in loving homes each year.
